Jon Jacobson
Managing Director

After completing his BSC Computer Science at Rhodes University, Jon gained valuable Information Technology and Integration experience while working for Anker Data Systems. Jon then joined the Global Investment Banking giant, Credit Suisse First Boston, and was based at their New York Headquarters. He managed a large team of developers responsible for the development of the banks proprietary Global Financial Systems and for the support and rollout of these to the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.

Jon returned to South Africa in 1999 to start up Global Vision.

Wayne Powell
Financial Director

Wayne qualified as a chartered accountant in South Africa in 1990. He spent 7 years working in the Investment Banking sector with Credit Suisse First Boston, based at their European Headquarters in London. His primary role was that of a Business Analyst and later Project Manager for a number of high profile IT Projects. The largest of these was as a key member of the Project Team that implemented the ERP application, PeopleSoft in a record 10 months. The PeopleSoft application was rolled out to the Credit Suisse’s 3 regions – America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

During his time at Credit Suisse, Wayne worked closely with Jon Jacobson, and the two formed a dynamic team that was responsible for many complicated banking system developments and successful global implementations.

Wayne returned to South Africa in 1999 and joined Jon at Global Vision.
