Challenge

Global Vision IT won the pitch for the Cape Union Mart website
amidst some some tough competition. The brief was “ product is
king”, as there were hundreds of products to update.


Solution

The solution is a 2-Tier Architecture and manages the web content
with integration into the Cape Union Mart Inventory Management
System ‘Dolfin’. This provides consumers with up to the minute
information on stock availability in the different Cape Union Mart
stores. Global Vision worked in conjunction with the ‘Dolfin’
developers to understand the database and information structures
in the inventory management system


Results

We have run many subsequent projects with Cape Union Mart. From in store kiosks, which enabled Cape Union Mart customers to access highly detailed information about the products from within the store, to an e-marketing tool that integrates with their digital strategy and is fully owned by Cape Union Mart.

Cape Union Mart just recently relaunched their site with a new look and feel and we were involved with this project as well.
